The Group Project
Because untangling education is a group project.
I’m launching a salon series for parents and caregivers to gather and think more deeply about education in the places where we actually live our lives. Come for the learning and come back for the community and the chance to explore big ideas as your whole, dynamic self.
Education is complex. The realities of schools today and the history, policy, and broader context that influence our kids’ lives can be hard to decipher. So let’s consider the questions you’ve been wondering about and follow them where they lead.
What’s the relationship between property taxes and school funding in California?
What does my school board do and how can I influence its priorities?
How can I best support teachers and administrators at my kid’s school?
Why have public schools resegregated since Brown v. Board?
I’ll invite researchers, scholars, and experts to present short, accessible lectures that help us untangle it all. Together we’ll create a space to discuss what we can do to support not only our own kids but everyone else’s, too.
You just show up curious. No homework required.
Coming in 2027 to your neighbor’s living room or a local restaurant in Northeast LA.
In community,
