Love-Soaked Professional Development Offerings

We meet educators where they are and help them level up by blending theory, practice, and policy in accessible ways, daring to name the thing, and honoring the expertise, insight, and lived experiences of everyone we work with.

With expert facilitation skills, and demonstrated efficacy in improving educators’ confidence in identifying and implementing culturally responsive practices, we create healing, invigorating, and love-soaked spaces for engaging in the hard and meaningful intellectual work of teaching and leading.

  • Workshops can be designed to include teachers, administrators, staff, caregivers, and/or anyone supporting students in your community.

  • All offerings are virtual and synchronous, but can be adapted for in-person and asynchronous needs on a case-by-case basis.

  • Humanizing School & Classroom Ecologies

    This introductory professional development series is joyful, engaging, and humanizing. Building from educators’ expertise and funds of knowledge, this series helps them level up to create more culturally responsive, enriching, and love-soaked learning experiences and possibilities.

    These workshops include theoretical framing and practical examples.

    Typically four 3hr sessions, minimum 6hrs

  • Naming the Thing

    Professional development designed to embolden educators to reconcile their fear with their desire and responsibility to include, care for, and teach the most marginalized student populations—especially Black, Indigenous, and other students of color as well as students who are unauthorized or undocumented immigrants, LGBTQ, unhoused, disabled or experiencing mental health challenges, and/or Muslim.

    These workshops link research, practice, and policy in accessible and empowering ways, leaving educators with practical tools and resources they can start using immediately.

    Only available as follow up to intro series, typically three 3hr sessions

  • Problematizing in Community

    You share problems of practice you’re facing at your school, district, or charter site and we teach you our framework for problematizing, and coach you through applying it to your own problems of practice.

    These sessions are co-designed with participants and tailored very specifically to your community.
