    Humanizing Classroom & School Experiences

    This introductory series honors and builds from educators’ expertise and helps them level up to implement more culturally responsive, enriching, and love-soaked instructional practices, curriculum, policies, and experiences for students, colleagues, caregivers, and themselves.

    In particular, these sessions help participants recognize and interrupt (often) hidden and harmful patterns of exclusion, bias, racism, and other discrimination relating to identity and culture.

    These workshops include theoretical framing, practical examples, and opportunities for collaboration.

    Typically three or four 2hr sessions, minimum 6hrs

    Naming the Thing

    These customizable professional development offerings are designed to embolden educators to reconcile their fear with their desire and responsibility to effectively teach, include, care for, and support the most marginalized student populations and communities.

    These workshops link research, practice, and policy in accessible and empowering ways, leaving educators with practical tools and resources they can start using immediately.

    • Conversation Unbound: Teaching and talking about race, ethnicity, difference, bias, and racism

    • Curriculum Unbound: Finding small and large ways to disrupt, supplement, and expand existing curriculum across disciplines to be more culturally responsive and sustaining

    • Belonging Unbound: Supporting queer (LGBTQIA) students, educators, and caregivers in and beyond your community

    Only available as follow up to intro series, typically three or four 2hr sessions

    Problematizing in Community

    You share puzzles of practice you’re facing at your school, district, or charter site and we support you in using research and our framework for problematizing to address them.

    These sessions are co-designed with participants and tailored very specifically to your community.

Workshops can be designed to include teachers, administrators, staff, caregivers, and/or anyone supporting students in your community.

All core offerings are virtual and synchronous, but can be adapted for in-person and asynchronous needs on a case-by-case basis.
